At this time Dog Fight: Starship Edition has no deck minimum. If you think you can win a game with 10 cards or less, go for it. Each deck type has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some styles work very well in limited situations, while others do fairly well in many situations. There is a maximum deck limit of 100 cards (not including vessel cards).
One of the purposes of this game design was to give as much freedom as possible to players. And within that freedom, to give as much freedom as possible to each captain over his/her own ship.
