Learn how to play - winning

If you reach End of Turn, all opponents' capital ships are destroyed and you still have your capital ship in play, you win the game.

Summary

  • Destroyed
  • Disabled
  • Overheat
  • Self destruct
  • Surrenduring
  • Repair
  • Possess

When a Capital Ship is destroyed its map marker remains on the map. All cards equipped to it are discarded to the Discard Pile along with all cards in your hand. Your Discard Pile remains in play. If you have no vessels in play you are eliminated from the game. There are 3 primary methods of destroying a vessel:

  • DAMAGE
  • OVERHEAT
  • SELF DESTRUCT SEQUENCE

Destroy

Destroying enemy vessels requires reducing their Hull BELOW zero.

--Damage

Reducing Hull; caused by attacks or by effects.

--Over heating

Overheat counters are applied or removed only by certain card effects. If a vessel possesses 10 or more overheat counters during the End of Turn Phase, that vessel is destroyed immediately.

--Self destruct sequence

Other than being destroyed by another player, you can destroy your own ship in the game. You are NOT eliminated from the game simply by using all cards in your Action Deck. Instead, the Self Destruct Sequence serves as a game terminator.

If a capital ship passes for 1 or more tiers for 3 consecutive turns, that vessel is destroyed during End of Turn on that third turn.

--Surrendering

Any player can surrender at any time. Surrendering players remove all cards as if they were destroyed as well as all equipped and discarded cards. All their vessel markers are removed as well.

Ending a Turn

The turn must end. Whatever the circumstances may be, the game ends only during the End of Turn Phase of the last turn.
