Energy Counters
In game economy (space money). Many cards require or provide energy counters. Each ship designates an initial number of energy counters during game set up.
Armor Counters
Counters used to help keep track of uses on armor effect cards. Typically a specified number of armor counters are placed on an armor card when that card is put in play. This can be in game or prior to the game if using either of the Complement Rules.
These counters are provided in denominations of 1, 5, and 10.
Over Heat counters
If a vessel possesses 10 or more Over Heat counters during the End of Turn Phase that vessel is automatically destroyed (even if all other enemy ships are destroyed by reducing Hull below zero, the turn must finish at End of Turn Phase). Over heat counters can be found in numerous game sets and are prominently featured in the Over Heat mini-set.
These counters are provided in denominations of 1, 5, and 10 and are found on the reverse side of Armor counters.
Generic Counters
On the reverse side of Energy Counters are generic game counters. These are recommended to track any type of counter for which is there is no official game token. In some future game sets it is likely certain new official tokens will be included
These counters are provided in denominations of 1, 5, and 10.
Wound Counters
Wounds counters apply only to Crew cards. If a card possesses 3 or more Wound counters during a Discard Phase that card expires (is sent to the Discard Pile). Typically, over heat counters are used to substitute for wound counters as over heat counters would normally apply only to a vessel.
Agility Counters
Agility counters are used to help a vessel evade an attack. The first Agility counter is featured in the Maneuvering mini-set.
Entropy Counters
As of this date Entropy Counters are not yet featured in any card set. When they are made available these will be used to enable numerous other card effects.
Hull Counters
Different from all the others, Hull counters keep track of a vessel's "life" count. With zero or more Hull a vessel is in the game. Reduce Hull below zero to destroy a vessel. Each ship designates an initial number of Hull counters during game set up.
These counters are provided in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 20.
Reminder Tokens
On the reverse side of 10 and 20 Hull counters are Reminder tokens. These are meant as place holders for spent tier actions that do not include placing a card in a tier (such as drawing, passing, or using the Harrison Maneuver).
